№ 02 — Interiors

Interior design, Benin City.

BT’s is an interior design studio in Benin City, working on residential and commercial projects across Nigeria. Furniture, lighting and objects for the home, plus a full concept-to-install design service in iroko, obeche, cane, brass, lokta paper and hand-loomed cotton.

The service

We sit in your room first.

The mood-board comes after. So does the quote. Each step is fixed-price and itemised — no surprise line items at install.

  1. 01

    Concept

In-person or video. We measure the room, the light, and the way you live in it. You leave with a written brief.

  2. 02

    Sourcing

A short list of pieces — some new, some made for you, some sourced from designers we trust. Approve or push back; nothing moves without you.

  3. 03

    Fabrication

Made-to-order pieces are built by makers we work with regularly. We send progress photos.

  4. 04

    Install

We deliver, place, hang, and stay until you’re happy. Then we leave you a care card.

Materials

What we work with.

We choose materials that age into themselves — not against you. Heat, humidity, dry season — if a material doesn’t hold up to where you live, we don’t use it.

  • Iroko

Hardwood that yellows beautifully. Indoor & outdoor frames.

  • Obeche

Pale, light hardwood. Stools, side tables, joinery.

  • Cane

Hand-woven. Backs, panels. Avoid damp, treat once a year.

  • Brass

Stems, hinges, hardware. Patinas. Don’t polish out the age.

  • Lokta paper

Hand-folded shades. Warmer than glass, kinder than nylon.

  • Cotton

Hand-loomed. Removable seat covers; washes well.

Common questions

Working with us.

  • Where is your interior design studio based?

BT's is based in Benin City, Edo State. We take on projects across Nigeria — Benin City primarily, with regular travel to Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

  • How much does interior design cost in Nigeria?

We work in fixed-price phases (concept, sourcing, fabrication, install) and itemise every step before you commit. A consultation starts the conversation — message us with the room and we'll quote.

  • Do you do residential and commercial interior design?

Both. We design homes, short-let apartments, studios, retail and small hospitality spaces. See /interiors/residential-interior-design and /interiors/commercial-interior-design.

  • What does the interior design process look like?

Concept (we sit in the room first) → Sourcing (a short list of pieces, some new, some made for you) → Fabrication (made-to-order, with photo updates) → Install (we deliver, place, hang, stay until you're happy).

  • Do you work outside Benin City?

Yes. Most of our work is in Edo, Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, and we travel for projects in other states. Discovery starts on WhatsApp or a video call.

A room is a place you live in. We’d like to help yours catch up.
